Mobility

  • Mobility is defined as access to transportation.
  • It indicates movement.
  • It is important in travel demand models to determine choices available to a consumer.
  • According to NUDP (National Urban Development Policy – 2006) and 11th five year plan (2007 – 2012) the cities are encouraged to prepare mobility plans which are the basic documents to access central funds.
  • The mobility plans usually cover regional, sub-regional and local areas.

Accessibility

  • Accessibility is defined as an access to activities.
  • It deals with the movement of people and goods that emphasises the outcomes and performance of the transport system.

Through Trip

  • Through Trip means any driving or operation of a motor vehicle in the City without a local destination or point of origin within the City limits.
